Craftsmanship has become a key theme in my work. I welcome the challenge of using labour intensive processes to show intricate detail in my final projects. I have incorporated typography into a range of crafts like weaving and embroidery. My aim is to combine traditional skill-based techniques, such as letterpress along with more modern, digital-based approaches. Much of my work is influenced by the history of the visual arts and I have brought this historical context into a modern design practice.
